Kundli Report: Personalised Vedic Birth Chart Reading

A Kundli is the Vedic birth chart calculated from your date, time and place of birth. The AstroParram Kundli report reads it across eight sections, from personality and career to timing and guidance.

What Is a Kundli?

A Kundli, also written Kundali, is the Vedic birth chart. It is calculated from the exact date, time and place of birth and records where each of the nine Grahas stood at that moment in relation to the twelve signs and the twelve houses.

The chart is sidereal, which means it is measured against the fixed stars rather than the seasons. Its main reference points are the Lagna (the rising sign), the Rashi (the sign of the Moon) and the Janma Nakshatra (the birth star of the Moon). Astrologers read these together with the Dasha sequence, which divides a life into planetary periods.

Birth Details Used in a Kundli

DetailWhat it determines
Date of birthThe position of the Sun and the slower planets, and the Sun sign.
Time of birthThe Lagna and the twelve houses. The Lagna changes sign roughly every two hours.
Place of birthThe local sky at the moment of birth, which affects the Lagna and the house boundaries.

The Moon changes sign about every two and a quarter days, so the Rashi is usually unaffected by a small error in birth time. The Lagna is far more sensitive. If your time is approximate or unknown, say so when you share your details, because the houses and any timing based on them will be less precise.

What a Kundli Shows

  • The Lagna, the rising sign, which sets the starting point for the houses.
  • The twelve houses, each governing an area of life such as career, marriage or finance.
  • The nine Grahas and the sign and house each occupies.
  • The Rashi and Nakshatra of the Moon.
  • The Dashas, the sequence of planetary periods.
  • The Yogas, specific planetary combinations noted in the chart.

Kundli and Horoscope

A horoscope in a newspaper or app is usually written for everyone born under one sign, such as a Sun sign or a Rashi. A Kundli is calculated for one person from their own birth details, so two people with the same Rashi can have very different charts. For the sign-based version, see Rashifal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a Kundli reading without my exact birth time?
Yes. You can mark your birth time as approximate or unknown when you share your details. Birth time determines the Lagna and the houses, so a reading built on an uncertain time is less precise on those points.
How long does the Kundli report take?
Your preview is delivered within 24 hours. You can then unlock individual sections or the complete report.
What is the difference between a Kundli and a horoscope?
A horoscope is usually written for everyone born under one sign. A Kundli is calculated from your own date, time and place of birth and supports a more detailed reading.
Can I unlock only some sections?
Yes. Each of the eight sections can be unlocked individually, or you can unlock the complete report.
Is the Kundli report a subscription?
No. It is a one-time purchase, and you keep access to your report for life.
